Pet Wellness Care

At Affordable Pet Care Northwest, we strive to educate our clients about proper care for their pets. When it comes to pets, the best way to treat an illness is to prevent it from ever developing. A large part of the work we do includes preventing diseases in order to keep pets as healthy as possible. Unfortunately, we still see pets come through our doors suffering from preventable illnesses. That’s why we consider preventive medicine and client education to be some of the most important services that we provide.

*We have a great wellness package that includes blood work, an intestinal parasite check, and Heartworm check.

We strongly believe in the power of client education. Teaching our clients how to care for their companion animals is a very important part of pet wellness because educated owners make the very best owners! We encourage you to talk to our staff if you have any questions or concerns about your pet’s health or medical needs.

About the Annual Wellness Checks

During your pet’s wellness exam, our vet will perform a thorough nose-to-tail assessment to look for specific conditions that could indicate an illness or other condition. We then document the results to be used as a baseline of health for future visits. Our vet will also measure your pet’s weight, temperature, and other vital signs to determine if there are any concerns that need to be addressed.

Annual physicals are one of the most important procedures for evaluating ongoing health. Early detection is one of the keys to maintaining good health and a semi-annual or annual exam allows us to evaluate any changes which might indicate an emerging problem.
